Name changed- not sure if I'm being PFB but my 15 month old has had a small bruise on her cheek- sort of where a dimple would be- for 2 weeks now. The thing is I don't even know how she did it- she had fallen and banged her eye but that cleared up in a few days but this dark bruise on her cheek is still there. Doesn't seem to bother her and hasn't changed to greeny/yellowy- just a dark shadow.
Would I be unreasonable to take her to the doctors after the weekend? I don't want to waste their time but I can't help but worry!

Can you ring the HV and ask for their advice?

DdraigGochMwnci · 04/08/2017 08:37

not unreasonable.

Is it sore to the touch? Does it feel firmer than the skin around it.

ConstanceCraving · 04/08/2017 08:38

Did it just appear when she banged her eye?

Migraleve · 04/08/2017 08:40

I think it WBU to take her with a bruise which is 2 weeks old and in he process of healing tbh. What exactly do you think they will do?

Not sore to the touch and feels like the rest of her cheek. Ok- will give it another fortnight- thanks for the advice!

Could you take her to a weigh in clinic and ask the hv first?
