To think you shouldn't pluck your bikini line at the pool?

Enjoying a lovely family holiday and today was greeted poolside with the sight of a woman plucking stray hairs from her bikini line with a pair of tweezers. She was not even trying to do it on the sly - legs akimbo! AIBU to think this is pretty grim and not really appropriate poolside be behaviour? Shock

Beyond grim.

DramaAlpaca · 03/08/2017 20:12

I've heard it all now. That is so grim.

IAmCrazyMostOfTheTime · 03/08/2017 20:13

I had to laugh as she struggled to crane her neck to see into the hard to reach places 😂😂

Does anyone remember the first series ever of BIg brother? Mel did exactly that in their garden - I remember thinking then it was a bit ewww.

nina2b · 03/08/2017 20:14

Classy.

bimbobaggins · 03/08/2017 20:15

I have literally just commented similar on another thread. Just back from holiday and a man was cutting his child's toenails poolside. I thought that was grim. No personal grooming should take place poolside or in public at all in my opinion

balsamicbarbara · 03/08/2017 20:16

It's impolite and YANBU but not sure how it's "grim." There is nothing wrong with pubes you know.

BaliBound · 03/08/2017 20:16

Ugh, some people are truly disgusting

MaisieDotes · 03/08/2017 20:16

My mum saw someone doing this on the beach once. Just down by the water. She still talks about it and how she was agog.

Mrscropley · 03/08/2017 20:17

My dd 10 had a laughing fit at the pool last night as a lady walked past with her' fairy hairs hanging out'!! Dd words not her educated version of anatomy before get flamed. .
Lady was chatting to a dc and didn't notice or would have ob chastised her for rudeness!!

IAmCrazyMostOfTheTime · 03/08/2017 20:17

Honestly I have no problem with pubes, each to their own on whether they groom or not. However having to watch it wasn't a particularly great holiday memory.

YANBU. Inappropriate!

whosebootsaretheseshoes · 03/08/2017 20:19

YANBU What was she doing with the tweezered pubes?

IAmCrazyMostOfTheTime · 03/08/2017 20:20

As far as I can tell she let them fly away in the breeze!

bimbobaggins · 03/08/2017 20:20

Of course it's grim balsamic, there's a time and a place for personal grooming and poolside is neither of them

silverlace · 03/08/2017 20:22

Last week I was at an indoor water park sitting at a table while the DC were off having fun. I glanced up from my coffee to see the man at the opposite table squeezing a spot on his belly 😲 urgggghhh!

whosebootsaretheseshoes · 03/08/2017 20:22

As far as I can tell she let them fly away in the breeze!

Ugh, that's gross.

kaytee87 · 03/08/2017 20:23

Eeeeewwwwww that's grim

Scrumpernickel · 03/08/2017 20:24

Frankly any task that requires one's legs to be akimbo is best done behind closed doors.

But is it not agonising to pluck one's pubes?

MotherPie · 03/08/2017 20:27

Saw a man waxing his pubes on the beach on a winters day. We still laugh about it now and it was years ago Grin

RaspberryRipple53 · 03/08/2017 20:28

Urgh that's as bad as the man I saw squeezing the spots on his face in Costa's.

Scribblegirl · 03/08/2017 20:28

I haven't said/typed the word boak in a long time - but - boak! Envy

ReallyNormalForNorfolk · 03/08/2017 20:33

Stunningly unpleasant. Did she move on to inspect her callouses? Were you in Benidorm? Different rules apply!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/08/2017 20:37

I'm thinking more about the pain of tweezing her equipment hairs.
Shudders

CoolCarrie · 03/08/2017 20:40

That is rank, at least she was plucking, not fucking! Sorry lowering the tone, or not
