Neighbours mess

I live next door to a HMO.
The latest tenant to move in put the wrong bin out last week resulting in their normal waste binbsing unemptied (they put out the recycle bin instead) so their bin (which resides opposite my kitchen window) has spent the past 2 weeks overflowing and stinking. Yesterday the said tenant that made the bin error moved out, I noticed as he was moving out he knocked one of the bags (overflowing) resulting in it smashing all over the road, broken glass everywhere from a half-empty beetroot jar exploding. When I confronted the tenant and hoped he would clean up the mess as a) it's disgusting b) he's responsible and c)kids play on the street his response was to tell me "I don't live there anymore".
The other tenants haven't cleaved up the mess and there's still broken glass all over the street. What would you do? Am I being unreasonable if I put the rubbish into their yard?

There was a broken glass at the top of my road the other week I picked it up and binned it. I wasn't having any child falling on to it or a dog stepping on it

What's HMO? If it's really bad I'd call the council but it's not the new tenants issue and I'm sure putting the wrong bin out was a genuine error - just sweep it up and move on, life's too short to stress about bins

I would put it in the bin, otherwise in a way you'd be just as bad as them

Happened to me & I telephoned the local council & asked them to come & clean it up.

I'm a short walk from the council depot, but they did come & clean it up.
