Want to do it with soy sauce, anyone have any good recommendations?

Steam it in tin foil with your added bits inside. Add new pots and fine beans.

It's nice cooked in foil (with herb-of-choice) on a BBQ or baked the same way if you don't have a BBQ.

Just drizzle soy sauce on before you wrap in foil.

I like it with soy, thinly sliced ginger and red chilli. Sprinkle with a little Chinese five spice, wrap up and cook for 20 mins at 180 ish. Lovely.

Grease the foil and put the salmon on,add ingredients of choice,I like a splash of white wine and fill,Bring foil up and fold edges together so there is a big gap between that and salmon, fold in sides and bung in hot oven10-15 mins. You need the space because you are steaming the fish.

Dill not fill.

No need to grease as salmon has enough fat. Marinade the fillet in ginger, soy, and chilli dressing. Bung in some of the extra marinade, spring onions, and other veg (Pak choi is awesome) then create a loose foil pouch which doesn't touch the salmon at the top. Then bake for 20mins or so (depending on fillet size?.

Some green beans and red pesto is nice too. Grate a little parmesan on it once its out the oven.

We did this recently but with foil instead of newspaper, was delicious

Sliced potatoes on bottom
Put salmon fillet on top
Add some ginger, honey, soy sauce, chilli flakes and spring onions
And cook in the foil for 15-20 minutes

Slightly different to what you asked but this is delicious : for each salmon fillet, gently warm 2 tablespoons maple syrup (actual maple syrup, not fake stuff) and a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. Place fillet on a piece of foil, coat with the glaze. Seal the foil and bake in oven for about 20 - 25 minutes. Then, for each person take one medium potato, half a courgette and some carrots. Cut into small cubes and put into a large freezer food bag with a tablespoon olive oil and some black pepper. Nice the veg around in the bag until coated with the olive oil. Empty veg into a roasting tin and roast in oven with the salmon. You can use any veg of course, some cook more quickly than others. Personally, I love roasted broccoli especially when it's just beginning to turn slightly brown and crispy.
A very easy and tasty meal.

I marinade my salmon in honey and soy sauce overnight, then steam in parcels on thinly sliced onion and red/yellow pepper with the sauce in there too.

I serve it with wild rice usually.

millifiori · 03/08/2017 19:41

I splash a bit of water and lemon juice on the foil to stop it sticking, then put on the salmon, drizzle with sweet chilli, dark soy and grated ginger then wrap it up and bake for about 10 mins. then unwrap the foil and bake for another 10, so the top gets a bit golden and crispy.

SeamstressfromTreacleMineRoad · 03/08/2017 20:15

Mix a teaspoon of green pesto with a teaspoon of olive oil and the finely-grated zest of a lemon. Put salmon onto individual pieces of tinfoil, rub pesto mixture onto top of each fillet, gather foil loosely together to form parcels, place on a baking sheet and cook Reg 5 / 170 degrees for 15 mins - then fold foil back and cook on hot (Reg 8/200) for another 10 mins. Serve with buttered new potatoes and green veg. Squeeze a little lemon juice onto each fillet on the plate. Yum... Smile

Apparently in the dishwasher is good, but I've never tried it!Grin

Ooh, we had salmon tonight, purely because my littlest thinks it will make her hair grow 😂
I did it on stick-free time foil. I tore a big piece off, placed the (half, large) salmon on it. Added a bit of spring onions, olive oil, chilli, herbs, seasoning etc. Put another piece on top and pinched it all the way round to make it air tight.

Oven at 170 for 25 minutes while making new potatoes and brocolli.

GinAndToast · 03/08/2017 20:46

... and lemon and pesto. Basically, what I had in the fridge 🙈
