I'm just wondering, are there any cafe/ restaurant/ food service type business owners on here? I'd love to know a little of your story..
having worked in food service since 16 I've always dreamt of owning my own business, taking into consideration all the rights and wrongs I found over the years in several different establishments, wanting to make a change etcetera etcetera...
Did you have a dream when young too?
How did you 'kick' off the startup? (how did you get the ball rolling, in terms of putting on paper that you wanted to start your business)
Did you pump alot of money into kitting out the unit you bought/rent or did you find somewhere that was already fitted out?
Did you work very long hours?
Was it enjoyable?
If you finally started to make money, were you happy you finally reached your dream?
Sorry for sounding like an over enthusiastic naive child, I'm obsessed with the thought of all of this! I'm always asking these type of questions to my boss..
let's say if you own a small cafe, what are rough figures of your staff, electricity, food, expenses each week?
