Sending files via email - help please!

Hi everyone,

I've been asked to email a few files to a friend, but I'm having trouble attaching them to an email.

The files are all in sub-folders, which are all in one larger folder.

I Googled to get some advice on this yesterday, and the suggestions were that I compress the larger folder and then, once it's been compressed, send it via email. Ive now compressed the folder and attached it, but it's taking absolutely ages to load.

AIBU to ask for your help please? Where am I going wrong?

Thanks :)

take them all out of the folder, and send each file individually, depending on the size of the files this may take several separate emails.

If the file is too big they wont send as an attachment. Max for our company is 8MB. Anything larger than that and we use WeTransfer - its a free thing off the internet and sends big files quickly and easily

Sending large files via email is never a good idea - lots of providers have size restrictions or may even strip out certain types of attachment.

Either use something like WeTransfer or upload them to Dropbox or similar.

Thanks so much everyone - just used WeTransfer. It's an absolute lifesaver :)

If you have microsoft you can right click the folder to send it to winzip.
