Husband says I am punching above my weight

Just looking to clarify something here. Yesterday my husband said he thinks i am punching above my weight. He is very into fitness and spends a lot of time on the gym. I have 3 small children, one is 6mths and I admit I have 16 pounds of baby weight to lose and don't feel good about myself at the moment.
He says it was a "nothing" comment and can't understand why I am so upset.
Who's he unreasonable twat here?

He is. Hands down.

Grimbles · 31/07/2017 06:42

He is

Ecureuil · 31/07/2017 06:42

What a dick. If he had genuine concerns for your health then I could maybe understand him mentioning your weight. Otherwise.... twat.

LemonRedwood · 31/07/2017 06:43

He is.

Groupie123 · 31/07/2017 06:46

He is. Next time he says something twatty remind him that the only thing he has going for him is his body - everything else stinks

AlongcameMolly · 31/07/2017 06:46

If it was a 'nothing comment' then why say it?
You have a tiny baby and he's making you feel bad about yourself, yes he's a twat.

Mamia15 · 31/07/2017 06:46

I hope he is doing all he can to ensure equal amounts of child free leisure time for you both??? I suspect not if he's spending so much time at the gym when he had two tiny children at home....

Twat.

Mamia15 · 31/07/2017 06:47

Loopytiles · 31/07/2017 06:47

Nasty thing to say. Do you have equal leisure time? If not, demand it!

ConstanceCraving · 31/07/2017 06:47

Was he joking?

GinIsIn · 31/07/2017 06:48

Tell him you are punching WITH your weight, and then smack him in the face.

annandale · 31/07/2017 06:48

Of course he understands why you are upset.

Perhaps he could take a few minutes from his busy gym schedule to arrange a babysitter and take his wife out, spend some time with her? You urgently need to bring your lives back together. Going to the gym is fine for a parent OK I think it's a waste of time and money but has he considered doing active things with his children instead?

BingoFlamingos · 31/07/2017 06:48

What a tit.
If he's got all the time in the world to go to the bloody gym, maybe he should look after his children more so you can have some time to yourself.
I'm sorry OP!

Floellabumbags · 31/07/2017 06:49

Negging fucking dickhead. My friend's ex did this. We asked him if he'd ever looked in a mirror.

Nquartz · 31/07/2017 06:49

That is so harsh. Presumably he's offered to look after the DC so you can go to zumba or something?! Cheeky fucker

Squeegle · 31/07/2017 06:49

What a self obsessed and nasty thing to say. He needs to look after his kids more.

cazb78 · 31/07/2017 06:50

Yes, he's a twat. Comes with being a man Smile

ConstanceCraving · 31/07/2017 06:51

Yes, he's a twat. Comes with being a man smile

Really.

AnyFucker · 31/07/2017 06:51

Had his head titned at the gym, has he ?

Ecureuil · 31/07/2017 06:52

Yes, he's a twat. Comes with being a man

No, it just comes with being a twat.

AnyFucker · 31/07/2017 06:52

Mummyoflittledragon · 31/07/2017 06:53

Tell him you'll punch to your weight straight in the knackers. Alternatively rub a shitty nappy in his face while he's asleep. Wink

AlpacasPackOwls · 31/07/2017 06:54

Wow, what a charmer. If he thought more about his family and less what he looks like then he'd be nicer on the inside.

TheLuminaries · 31/07/2017 06:56

He is punching, being with a decent human being when he is a shallow self centred twat.

AuntMabel · 31/07/2017 06:56

He is. You could lose 14 stone in 30 seconds; don't let the door whack his arse on the way out.
