To think people often get told to leave a relationship on MN (usually women to leave men) very quickly? And that it doesn;t as much work the other way? (man to leave a woman)

Yes I agree. It's ridiculous. Posters are really irresponsible with this I think. I'm always tempted to hide relationships because it makes me cross, but don't want to miss the other stuff that goes on in there.

So is it mainly on relationships it happens?

I posted about a similar situation with me and my brother, and got totally different replies based on the woman /man thing. With my brother, I got told he 'needed a kick up the arse' for example when I pointed out my SIL was bossing him around. It is really strange.

I hope not many people actually just follow the advice without thinking things through and end up leaving over some trivial thing. Although sometimes of course it is warranted.
