To think I've lost padding in my thumbs and big toe

Plus all my other fingers and toes!

Reaching the grand old age of forty, l've had a sudden realisation that my fingers and toes aren't just as plump as they used to be but barely any padding at all.

Does this happen to everyone?

No, I think mine are going the other way and have got puffier (although that could be a side effect of the general middle aged spread Wink).

No. My lovely, slim feet that men used to worship at have turned into trotters. My hands Confused. I don't want to talk about it.

How odd! Because I am a good 2 stone heavier than I was 20 years ago and yet my hands and feet seem to have drastically shrunk in fat content. Confused
Maybe it's just me then...

Losing that round padding on your thumb can be a sign/effect of carpel tunnel pinching the nerve in the wrist. But not sure about the feet thing.
