Terraced house and alarm

Hi ( I'm new ! ) :)
I know this problem has been talked about in other threads but I haven't found the same situation . My partner and I rent a terraced house, we do hear neigbours a lot ( one side is loud sex other side is TV loud at night, music etc...) At first we thought we couldn't really do anythings as the walls are that thin it's logical it's not going to be quiet , so we just put up with it and carry on with our lives . BUT since about three months ago, neighbours from one side put a intruder alarm, meaning than several times a day, we hear A LOUD LOUD beeping I would say for 60 seconds while it sets. I know it sounds a bit petty, but when it's constantly beeping at random times ( can be at 5 am or 10 pm ) basically every single time the person leaves their home and comes back in , it does really start to be annoying .
We raised the issue to our lanlord who said we couldn't do anything as it might be several times a day, it's not for more than 5 min .

What would you do ? We started looking at other properties but we have a contract anyway . :(

Our neighbours over the way appear to have anxieties about their house security and will set their burglar alarm, lock the door, and walk away for 30 seconds, come back, check the door is locked then open it, reset the alarm, go out, lock the door etc up to give times in a row. The noise drives me nuts, but there's nothing we can do.

I'm afraid for you there's not much you can do either.

How loud is the TV?? We had a neighbour who used to leave his on at decibels and we ended up having to complain to the council. He eventually turned it down so I assume he got the message eventually
