AIBU to not change the bed?

My lovely Mum is coming to stay for a few nights so me and DH can go to a festival this weekend (childfree!!!).

She was last here just over a week ago and slept in the freshly changed spare bed for 2 nights and I forgot to strip it when she left. Since then the bed has only been used for an hour here and there by me optimistically trying to convince toddler that he really doesn't want to get up at 5. Not that it ever works.

I'm currently laying on my bed messing about on my phone while the kids play around me. It's day 4 of the summer holidays, I've been up since 5, I've had a cold all week and I can't bring myself to get up and do my usual 'shit, we have visitors coming' tidy up. I'd rather have another coffee in bed to be honest.
AIBU to not change the bed? I have a strange guilt over it. My house is tidy (as tidy as it can be with 2 kids during the summer hols) and I know she doesn't care and doesn't expect maid service when she visits I still normally make an effort though but since it was her that last slept in it it doesn't seem so bad...or is it a bit wrong? Confused

If it's the same person staying I don't think there's any need to change the bed.

No it's fine, no need to wash bedding that's still clean.

CrazyHairSister · 27/07/2017 09:06

Same person? No I wouldn't change the bed. Might spritz a bit of fibres at it though to pretend I had.

Is the bedding still clean? Does it feel/smell fresh? If so just straighten it up and call it good.

Awesome Grin thanks. I just needed someone to tell me it was ok.
One more coffee then we'll get up!

I think you're fine OP. I'm off to a festival too this weekend! Wonder if it's the same one Grin

Still clean. Febreze and a quick polish would make me feel better. Not that she'd notice, she has a really crappy sense of smell.

I wouldn't bother if it's the same person, not when she's just slept in it for 2 days.

Ooh I wonder Scribble (if so there's a fab band playing on one of the smaller stages on Saturday afternoon, I've heard the lead singer has a very lovely wife Wink )
