WIBU to wear this

Hi, posted on fashion and beauty but thought there would be more traffic here. I don't do dressy very often and live in trousers normally, I broke an ankle a few years ago and that ankle looks swollen so I am self conscious in dresses. So I wondered about wearing trousers to a Christening. I was thinking something like this top www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_028030131543_-1

Wearing it with navy or stone trousers and nice sandals. So WIBU to wear trousers to a Christening?

I think it's lovely, perfect alternative to a dress for a christening

Whywould it be unreasonable? I wear trousers to almost every occasion and feel uncomfortable if I don't.

cardibach I guess I'm old and stuck in my ways and think I "should" wear a dress or a suit but I really like the look of this and think it could look lovely, although I am shorter than the model and a size bigger.

I wore trousers and a top from Debenhams to my dd's christening. I don't do dresses You'll look great in that top btw.

It's a nice top and there's nothing wrong with wearing trousers but I think it's a bit dark for a christening, especially so with dark trousers.
