To feel I'm doing this all wrong?!!

We started potty training dd 10 days ago. She picked it up really quickly and will run to the potty when she needs it. However when she needs it she needs it ASAP and can't wait. I'm just using knickers on her at the moment as I've read that training pants don't work? What did you use?

What on earth am I supposed to do when we go out?!! Whip the potty out?! What is the etiquette on this?

Did you avoid going out whilst potty training? If so, for how long? I've been avoiding busy places but I feel bad for her as she loves the busy playgrounds, soft play etc.

She'll start to recognise the urge, so she has more time.

Most people stay close to home. I don't see an issue with letting a child wee over a grid etc.

For playgrounds, if there isn't a corner that they can go in, then take a potty.

Most people will let you jump the toilet queue if you ask.

Look at s potette potty, it's a tiny travel one that it's perfect for out and about.

Definitely avoid pull ups and training pants
