I have an autistic 2.5 year old and a 9 month old baby and am a very very lone parent. Safe to say life is pretty tough right now.

Nothinf I ever do is good enough, everybmistake I make I beat myself up over, I dont think I will ever be a good enough mum for what these two need.

How do you ever convince yourself you are good enough?

You are absolutely good enough. You are their mum. That's all you need to be.

I think you need to go to the doctor's as I suspect you may suffering from post natal depression. You need some help and please don't be afraid to ask for it.

Please talk to someone tomorrow, or to the Samaritans tonight if you feel like it. "Whatever you're going through, call us free any time, from any phone on 116 123."

Totally agree, you are good enough, and I bet you are doing a great job. I also think it might be a good idea for you to have a chat with your GP.

fuckingroundabout · 25/07/2017 22:26

I know I need to talk to the gp, I honestly feel so disgusted with myself for how I am as a mother that I know its not right.

Im.so frustrated as my dd is so rough with rhe baby he looked like he has done ten rounds with mike tyson. Nothing is working to stop it :(

Have you got any help? Support?

WeirdnessOfDoom · 25/07/2017 22:37

And don't be disgusted, you're doing your best. Autism is crap to deal with.
