He ate my left overs! I thought I knew him well...

We had a curry last night, I saved some for after work. He had the day off and stayed home with the baby.

During this time at home he decided that my curry was fair game..

My curry that I left the house thinking about, my curry that got me through the day of working in retail, the curry that I thought I was coming home to.

I had a baby to this.... animal! I do believe this is a deal breaker, AIBU?!

The bastard! I am feeling your pain as we had left over roast lamb to have with bubble and squeak tonight and dh made SANDWICHES with it to take to work. I was fit to murder him.

OhOurBilly · 24/07/2017 20:29

If you think that's bad...yesterday I was eating my tea (a fish and chip shop treat) turned my back for approximately a minute and a half to hand the baby a spoon and remove the yoghurt from his eyebrows, and my husband had eaten the rest of my tea, from my plate, while it was still hot. I'm still a bit annoyed about it today.

Smallangryplanet · 24/07/2017 20:30

We went to stay with family in between Xmas and NY. DH was talking to my Dsis about how much he was looking forward to eating his turkey with tangerine stuffing when we got home. Reader she was eating it, in her sandwich. Blush.
In my defence we were away for about a week and I didn't want it to go to waste. OH doesn't believe in use by dates, our fridge is a magic food preserver.

We now have a tradition of Christmas dinner pie the middle weekend of Jan (and sometimes Shrove Tuesday). Turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing and gravy - shortcrust bottom, puff top.

It was about 20 years ago, he still tells the story with incredulity and sadness.

Therealjudgejudy · 24/07/2017 20:35

Billy... your husband ate your dinner when your back was turned?? Why?? That's pretty disrespectful

CouldntMakeThisShitUp · 24/07/2017 20:35

He has to buy you a pack of Rolo....and watch you eat every single one Grin Grin Grin

OhOurBilly · 24/07/2017 20:43

He did judgejudy (your name feels apt here, your honour!) He thought I'd finished, I will always say 'I've full, do you want the end of this?" But only after I'm done! He's occasionally forgets himself, but it makes me seethe.

Ropsleybunny · 24/07/2017 20:44

My DH once threw a pan of delicious homemade gravy, that I had saved to go with my roast beef dinner, down the sink. This was a deal breaker.

Bobbiepin · 24/07/2017 20:48

I once brought home krispy kremes for myself and DH. They looked slightly similar and when I was in bed DH couldn't tell the difference between my toffee one and his peanut butter one. He took a bite to tell but then just ate both. Apparently it didn't occur to him to cut it in half. I've not forgiven him yet.

HoneyDragon · 24/07/2017 20:48

Essie

The fucking BITCH Angry

Bamboofordinneragain · 24/07/2017 20:51

Post it note 'I HAVE SPAT IN THIS CURRY'. Only problem is if you come back and find that somebody has written 'SO HAVE I' underneath.
But yeah, LTB, no question.

HoneyDragon · 24/07/2017 20:51

Turkey is meant to last a week its the fucking law of Christmas. It's what Jesus died for.

Also, left over take away rulesare if it was your curry you saved for left overs as you
A) weren't a greedy guts and ate the lot
Or
B) weren't a lazy scrotum who just chucked theirs in the bin, butnliving decsnted it and placed it in the fridge

Then it's YOUR left over take away.

Op you're the victim of heinious theft.

HoneyDragon · 24/07/2017 20:52

  • but lovingly decanted it

I'm so mad I can't type Blush

Leaspr · 24/07/2017 20:55

Leave him immediately! People like that are the scum of the Universe Grin

Aquamarine1029 · 24/07/2017 21:02

My son once ate some crab meat that I had saved for my lunch the next day. I almost drove him to an orphanage.

anotherprosecco · 24/07/2017 21:02

My DH ate my take-away KFC while I was putting DD to bed... came back to an empty plate. That was 30 years ago and I still haven't forgiven him and I still remind him about it. Apparently he thought I had finished it.

Everytimeref · 24/07/2017 21:03

My dad ate my last chip. The crispy one I had been saving. It was 40 years ago I am yet to forgive and will never forget!

dowhatyouwish · 24/07/2017 21:04

Oh no. I would be gutted too OP, make him buy you a replacement!

WashBasketsAreUs · 24/07/2017 21:49

I bought a 4 pack of Wispas. There's 2 of us in the house, so 2 each right? There was one left when I went to work and it was mine. Came home, looking forward to it and he'd eaten it. Cue big upset, much gnashing of teeth and wailing. He bought me another 4 pack later and I ate every one but it was too late that night. When I go shopping with my grandson and we buy Wispas, he always says "grandad ate your Wispa", he's never gonna live it down!

Trunkisareshite · 24/07/2017 22:27

Fucking hell, what an atrocious cunt.

Somerford · 24/07/2017 22:36

YABU for leaving it unattended. You were absent minded at best, reckless at worst and you have paid dearly. Learn from it and try to move on with your life as best you can.

GooodMythicalMorning · 24/07/2017 22:38

Dh gave away a whole carrot cake mil had made specifically for me to his work mates as a thank you. Cor I was mad and he retrieved the remnants for me but I was still mad. Two yrs later he's not forgiven

TheNoodlesIncident · 24/07/2017 22:50

I have lots of good places if you want ideas.

The cleaning materials cupboard! Grin NO bugger looks in there. Drape a duster or packet of wipes on top. If it needs to be refrigerated:

Salad drawer, conceal with lettuce and/or whatever vegetable products are available. Kale is particularly repugnant to leftover/contraband thieves

ProudBadMum · 25/07/2017 08:20

These stories are hideous, especially the wisps one Shock

I ate the haribo, they weren't his. They were my sons. We are both mad at him now.
