We ordered a Indian takeaway at 6.10pm and it's still not arrived.
Rang shop and were told it won't be long but nearly 3 hours for delivery.
That's crazy isn't it?

You could've cooked it yourself by now. That's ridiculous!

Ashkey234 · 23/07/2017 20:55

Yep. I think they had forgotten you.

Albertschair · 23/07/2017 20:56

They forgot!

Hope it arrives soon.

BusterGonad · 23/07/2017 20:56

It would take more than a pesky free salad to appease me after that mammoth wait!!!

WorraLiberty · 23/07/2017 20:56

I would have cancelled and re-ordered from somewhere else long ago.

DearMrDilkington · 23/07/2017 20:57

They've forgotten you.

what did you order? I love Indian.

WeAreEternal · 23/07/2017 20:58

There's no way I would accept it or pay for it after this long.
Phone them and tell them you'll be ordering from elsewhere and not to bother.

FretYeNotAllIsShiny · 23/07/2017 21:05

That is ridiculous. I once rang up after waiting over an hour and and a half for one and was told it was on its way. Twenty minutes later I rang up again to be told the same. I told them not to bother, it's a five minute drive from that shop to mine. I understand they are busy, but I hate being lied to.

I really miss Hungryhouse's 'there in an hour or free' thing!

Questioningeverything · 23/07/2017 21:08

Eurghhhh can you imagine if it was cooked three hours ago and it's been sat waiting to be delivered all that time?? I'd be refusing to eat it based on that thought alone. Tell them they can keep it, and you won't be ordering from there again. I'd also throw in that I'd be warning my friends and neighbors not to use them too based on my experience! (And is do just that)

Questioningeverything · 23/07/2017 21:08

I'd! Not is!

We thought ours was bad tonight but it was nowhere near as long as yours!!

I ordered at 7.10pm & it was delivered at 8.25pm!! They did tell me when I ordered they were exceptionally busy & our food would be with us as soon as possible. Usually they say 20 minutes or so.

LegallyBronde · 23/07/2017 21:19

YANBU! This has happened to me on Friday evening. A well earnt night of DC free relaxation with a movie and a curry. 2 hours later, we called and they said it would be with us in 10 minutes and it arrived 40 minutes after that. DH is sure they forgot our order.

Hope your food comes soon Ashkey234!

Ashkey234 · 23/07/2017 21:28
