I am no Tory and generally cant stand Gove but his call to ban microbeads and tackle plastics has made me very chuffed indeed!

I don't know whether you watched Theresa V Boris How may became PM , a dramatization of 2016 leadership contest with ministers and PR people interviews. He's universally distrusted by all his party and colleagues. His back stabbing is, I gather, legendary!

That's doesn't preclude him from being a good minister I suppose. But would you want him back in the bosom of your cabinet?

I can't get past his clapping, he could cure cancer and save a bazillion puppies and its still all I think off

jellyfrizz · 23/07/2017 07:53

I can't ever forgive him for what he did to education.
Didn't Leadsome sort the microbead ban? www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-37263087

I work for Defra and am waiting to be convinced. I have some siblings and close friends who are teachers, who've given me chapter and verse on what he has done to education (as well as having 2 primary school age dc). I'm not optimistic at the moment I must say, but micribeasa is a good start.

His idea of tackling plastics might be to double to price of everything that comes in a plastic bottle. New Labour tried to price motorists off the road; it's the sort of thing he would do.

Be careful what you wish for.

Given the damage he did in education, I wouldn't bank on it.

He's spent his first few weeks leaking and briefing against Hammond, Davis and TM, so I'm not sure how much time he has for actual work.
