I have this too. My mother is not on fb. She says that if she was, she would not stalk me but when I say that she can join but not be my friend, then she says there is no point...

IME, it is all us 'mothers' who now use FB - the "youth" have moved on. Most of their sharing is done elsewhere, not on FB - it's you who should move off OP (if you are young ?)
