Trying to sand the living room floor. Been trying for a few hours now, in between stopping so the motor on the little sander doesn't burn out (I now nothing about machines, but someone had mentioned it wouldn't be up to the job so I'm making sure to give it a break on a regular basis). In the meantime I have had to rescue the cat from the roof where he's got himself stuck (silly bastard can go up trees, but not down!). I have had one child fall over and graze a knee. Another child stand in an ants' nest. And now they have just come in with muddy feet and walked across the newly sanded part. Argh! I said if they can just give me an hour or so it would be done and we could get ourselves off to the beach. I give up!
