Boobstation channels on sky

Why??

What do they actually offer to people? Other than an increased longing for naked females who aren't available to those calling or watching.

I find the fact that the channels exist fascinating. Can anybody imagine themselves calling a man who was on screen (assuming that floats your boat) for a late night chat?

Apologies if you don't know what I'm referring to; channel 900 and up on sky, semi clad ladies (a lot of them fantastic looking) fielding calls from those inclined

I actually had a friend who worked on one of those channels for a bit (and made really good fucking money)

As far as i can figure, there's a subset of men who never get a partner and have children, and have money to burn.

I think that since we entered the age of limitless free porn a good 20+ years ago, there is something else happening when people interact with these services.

Loneliness? Lack of human contact?

I've been googling what you get paid for it but didn't get very far.

Do they get paid commission (more callers = more money) or is is it just good wages?

Part of my lack of understanding stems from the fact that porn's available free. Therefore why do people for what's on offer. Having said that I don't understand why people like strippers so it's lost on me Confused

Is it a phone in type set up where there conversation is broadcast? I always think the same thing for any type of phone in segment, for example this morning type problem phone ins. Seems so strange to me to lay yourself bare like that so publicly. I'm talking about the callers not the women working on the show you describe!!

I can only guess at loneliness, desperation etc or if these women are almost like celebrities in the same way as someone might think of Holly and Phil....

Can only imagine it costs a fortune too. Then I'm sure there are just people who get a kick out of chatting to someone beautiful. Are the calls x rated or just general chit chat and it's the visual that's x rated?

Curious but not enough to go searching!!

A few years ago a friend of mine got a phone call from the finance department of the company he worked for as his bill was exceptionally high one month...
He came clean and said who he'd called one night when bored.
The person from finance didn't know what to say other than "erm, ok thanks, good to know it was you"!!

Curiosity got the better of me and I've just wasted/invested for research purposes about £15 on a call.

It seems impossible to get through to the girl on the TV despite her waving her phone seemingly ready for a call.

You can listen in on other people's calls (one guy was talking to a girl about x-factor!) or opt to speak to somebody off screen.

There was lots of dirty talk despite me not engaging which got my thinking - surely the women who are very good at getting people off, are not top earners as calls are over too quick. Unless they rely on repeat business 🤷‍♀️

I imagine there's on hot girl on the telly and fifty middle aged women manning the phones whilst doing their ironing, chatting to these guys. They're probably wearing sensible shoes and surgical supports but telling the guy paying £xx per minute they're in stockings and suspenders!
