have stopped doing their delicious cheddar and kale slaw baked potatoes? I loved them. I had to settle for the shitty ham hock with cheddar and sour cream instead. Why do this do this?!

Hah, I work in a Debenhams restaurant and definitely served one of these today! Maybe they'd ran out or we've missed a product change... Try the chilli cheese toastie, it's lush Wink

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 21/07/2017 14:57

Kale slaw?

FerretsAreFeminists · 21/07/2017 15:02

Kale slaw is just coleslaw made with kale instead of cabbage. It's actually quite nice.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 21/07/2017 15:03

God that sounds rank. YABU Grin

comedycentral · 21/07/2017 15:04

It's yummy!

MrsOverTheRoad · 21/07/2017 15:11

Kale slaw! Never thought of that....am on it!

amusedbush · 21/07/2017 15:12

Chilli cheese toastie, you say InsideVoices?? Shock

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 21/07/2017 15:13

House of Fraser do a lush Welsh rarebit toaster 😋

chipscheeseandcurrysauce · 21/07/2017 15:16

I was more gutted when M&S' cafe changed their menu and got rid of their vegetable spaghetti and steak ragu dish... the lamb tagine and couscous was a nice replacement though!

SummerMummy88 · 21/07/2017 15:17

They had a baked bean with feta cheese jacket the other day, surely feta and baked beans don't go together? Feta is all moist I think they need to rethink their new potato menu.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/07/2017 15:38

YA definitely U!!!

Anything containing Kale, other than a compost heap, is an abomination.

OllyBJolly · 21/07/2017 16:28

Have you never drizzled kale with olive oil, wee dusting of black pepper, and put it in the oven for 15 minutes? Delicious!

SpottedGingham · 21/07/2017 16:30

Kale is vile.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/07/2017 19:17

Olly - I wouldn't desecrate olive oil, black pepper or my oven with the EVIL that is KALE!!!!!!

Olly- yes, I do make kale crisps like that but with a little bit of lemon juice, salt and cayenne pepper instead of black pepper. They are delicious!

I told my mum how to make them but when she did my dad was not a fan. He said it was " like eating the ashes from the grate ".

OllyBJolly · 22/07/2017 07:58

Mmm thanks Breakfast I'm trying that!

Schadenfreude. you haven't lived!

silkpyjamasallday · 22/07/2017 08:02

@BreakfastAtStephanies I LOVE kale crisps, we do them with soy sauce sometimes, also very nice.

I am definitely trying to make our own kale slaw and cheddar jacket potatoes, DP needs more variety for his lunches than tuna mayo or beans and cheese. We love kale in this house, even 10 mo DD is partial to a bit from our pesto pasta we do with kale, feta, pancetta, plum tomatoes, chilli and lemon.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 22/07/2017 08:37

Amused

Your pro tip is much appreciated! (Though I've never had any real problem scraping kale into the trash!)
