To just go home?

Currently on holiday in Cornwall. Weather is rubbish gales and torrential rain. Spent the day huddled under a blanket on the beach. Ds 15 is miserable and doesn't want to do anything. DD 12 is ok. Older dc's are home alone and bickering and the dog is unhappy and pining because we are away. Was looking forward to a nice meal out this evening rather than ready meal in the caravan but the meal turned out to be awful too. Weather forcast is rubbish fir the next couple of days. Caravan is freezing cold and we didn't bring enough warm clothing. It feels like such a waste of money to give up on this holiday though.
AIBU just to go home?

Go go go! I'm in lanzarote with 2yo and 5yo and if I could drive home I'd already be in my car!
We are all packed and our flight not until Sunday Grin
It's not wasted money if your not enjoying yourself, go home get cosy and order a nice takeaway for tomorrow and think of me stuck in holiday hell with another 3 days to go

It's up to you, but I will never forget (& forgive) my Dad deciding to come home 5 days into our annual week's holiday in Cornwall. Also because it had rained for 5 days straight. I was 5. I still haven't got over it. Very sad & upsetting Sad Sad Sad

How long are you supposed to be there? If the weather forecast is rubbish for the next few days and then you're about to leave anyway, is there anything to do in wet weather that you'll enjoy? (Wahey - Oxfam hunting for extra jumpers and books!) A) things may seem cheerier in the morning but B) if not then don't feel obliged to stick it out in misery if you'd all mostly be happier at home. Fingers crossed for a brighter morning.
