Help what to do with infected tattoo

I'm assuming it's infected. Was done thurs. will go doctors but they probably can't see me for a month. Help.

If you tattoo gets infected. Say from a deep wound where bacteria got in. Get your hands on amoxicillin type oral antibotics and germolene. Clean your tattoo with cold water and clean soap. Then put the germolene on just the infected or deep wound areas. Use some petrolum jelly or vasoline on top of the tattoo and spread it over the tattoo while spreading some of the germolene underneath. Your tattoo will look shiny, but the vasoline layer will keep other bacteria from getting in, while the germolene numbs and kills the bacteria. You will need to repeat this for about week. I used this exact procedure and my tattoo healed super fast with zero damage and my tattoo looked amazing.

Hibiscrub - from any chemist. It's an antimicrobial wash - follow the instructions.

Pat dry, carefully. Then apply some antiseptic cream - germolene is good because it also has a small amount of numbing agent in it which will help with the itching.

However, you need to see a Dr ASAP. If it's been done by somebody unlicensed then you could have a serious infection and need antibiotics. Find a walk-in centre if you need to - lots of hospitals have them alongside A&E departments.

@AdobeWanKenobi I was just posting for future readers. Im sure people still look this stuff up. My experience was very recent. Thought I would share for other newbies worried. You will know your tattoo is infected if its feels like sunburn thats increasing in intensity. It shouldnt hurt that much afterward, a slight soreness and maybe a bit stiff, nothing more usually.

You need to see a doctor NOW. Not tonight, not tomorrow. What you have done to yourself is VERY serious.

it needs antibiotics for sure I had one a few months ago and was on 2 weeks on amoxicillin.in the mean time use savlon to ease the burn.but definitely get to see a dr ASAP.
