to ask about a cat scratch?

Was playing with the cat earlier on the floor and got a tiny scratch to my eyelid ...think she meant to reach out for the toy mouse! Silly question....v.small scratch and indoor
cat ...so will cleaning the little scratch be enough..surely I don't need a tetanus booster or anything ?Thanks!

I think it's cat bites that are the dodgy ones?
We've all had maybe 50 cat scratches from our grumpy cat and no problems from them. My mum, however, has had two deep cat scratches that got infected and needed antibiotics, so it can happen.

Watch out for infection. It can get bad quickly. As it's your eyelid I'd suggest calling 111 for advice.

Cleanse the area thoroughly and apply some Antibacterial cream.
It will probably be fine, just keep an eye on it (boom boom).

I have scratches and bites on a daily basis from ours.
Just clean it.
If you're very worried put some germolene/savlon on it.
You won't need a tetnus.

As shes an indoor cat, I wouldn't worry too much, just make sure you clean it properly. I think infection issues arise more with cats that go outdoors, as not only do they probably come into contact with rodents, but they also have all sorts of dirt in their claws too. I think you'll be ok.

Even if she was an outdoor cat op wouldnt need a tetanus!
Just keep a close eye on it as it's your eyelid, but as long as you've washed it, it should be fine.
Put some cream on it.
Don't keep touching it, try to keep your hair and any makeup out of it
