Go or miss out?

I'm in a dilemma and could do with some advice please. Long story so will try not to drip feed.

Worked at a local popular restaurant for few years pre DD. While on maternity leave my job effectively disappeared and I was made redundant with no pay out or even a card when she was born (all other employees milestones were celebrated) Letters were sent back and forth and it was left on a sour note. I haven't set foot in the place in a year.

Now a cousin is getting married and has planned a female family meal at said restaurant, her husbands company supplies the restaurant which I think may be the reason for the choice.

So do I brass neck it out and go? Or stay home and miss out on the occasion all together?

I'd go, I wouldn't miss a family event becuase of this.

Just on a side note - can your job just be dissolved and you have nothing to come back to after maternity? Isn't that illegal?

I'd go to be honest - don't let them force you to miss our on your cousin's meal.

Go, head high, have fun. Don't miss out on the fun because they were gits.

I could have taken legal proceedings but felt so down with ppd and just new mum stress that I didn't feel strong enough at the time.

Thanks for any advice

The thought of going in the place makes me feel sick but I think why should they keep winning
