Crying over my forever TV Unit, AIBU?

I loved it so much. I first bought the sideboard, and then just as I went to purchase the TV Unit a few weeks back, it had become the dreaded 'Out Of Stock'.

I keep walking through my lounge thinking how good it would've looked and feel intense sorrow.

AIBU? Has anyone else felt this kind of sadness over a physical object?

I keep contacting Very but they say it doesn't look like they're getting them back in any time soon - they're hugely popular though.

Thing that irks me is I'm always checking to see if it'll come back into stock, yet some cheeky fecker has apparently grabbed one at 2.20pm today?! How could that be?!

That used to be sold at homebase when i worked there. Homebase and argos sold the same furniture. Have you checked argos?

Have you tried Littlewoods? Same company, same stock, prices can vary though!

I'm with you OP! I did the same thing this week with this pink side table and on Very too. I keep tracking it in longing only to see the out of stock banner every time :( you have my commiserations!

Never make the mistake of liking the same thing as me.
The moment I stop dithering and decide to buy is the moment the manufacturer decides to discontinue the item.

You can buy it on Very in a two piece deal, perhaps you could buy that and sell the other unit on eBay if you don't want it.

It's in stock on very right now, have just checked. Also available as a set with the sideboard so if you can't get it on it's own can you afford the set if they are still available and sell on the sideboard?

I want to know if the OP got it!! I completely understand how attached you can get to physical objects, I'm forever ordering things instantly out of fear they'll go out of stock.
