And tell them they are a Muppet?!

She used to be a "home and lifestyle" blogger.

She was very cutesy and a bit wanky over things.

She has now put on her Fbook page that "if I see another grown female describing their blog, craft or baking as making them feel giddy with excitement, my face will fall off"

I'm 99% sure the phrase giddy with excitement has appeared in her blogs and posts over the years.

And to make it worse, she's now joined a MLM after attempting and failing with Forever.

I'd probably avoid the word Muppet. I'm sure between us we can come up with a much more passive agressive 'joke with a jag' that will hit the spot.

Is her blog still active? Any screen shots of her feeling particularly giddy and/or excited?

BlueIsYou · 16/07/2017 19:19

Is her blog The Home That Made Me? Grin

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 16/07/2017 19:19

I know who you mean. Cherry something. PITA.

It's now a life coaching blog mixed with her old blog, still active. And I'm sure there's a picture of her looking giddy, wearing her apron. Going to have a dig now!

Yes. That's the one!

She was always giddy about something like floating tea lights in vintage tea cups or strawberry fairy cakes!

She popped up in my Facebook with her coaching and MLM stuff and I pointed out I was not her target audience as I am vehemently against MLMs and their exploitation of women (in my opinion) and to be fair she was nice, and funny, about it.

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 16/07/2017 20:28

I rarely say this about people but she's a total knob.

andbabymakesthree · 16/07/2017 20:28

LRDtheFeministDragon · 16/07/2017 20:58

Ok, admittedly, Cherry Menlove is a name that gives me the immature giggles.

But why can't you say that to her? I thought the whole point of blogging was that anyone could say anything? I mean, you might want to put it mildly more subtly, but you could say it if you feel like it'd make you feel better.

SolomanDaisy · 16/07/2017 20:59

Oh she used to be a thing didn't she? I guess her career didn't go quite the way she'd hoped.

Weebo · 16/07/2017 21:16

Do it!

MargoChanning · 16/07/2017 21:34

I know who she is and her background. But to be fair, she does comment to someone that the reason she doesn't like it when women use the terms giddy and Ickle is because they are 'reductive' when what they are doing is 'phenomenal'. I think she's saying that when we use these terms, it makes us look amateurish when actually our work is great and far from amateurish. A fair point, no?

I'm not a fan of hers, by the way, and don't follow her blog. I just think she was trying to make a point about the language bloggers use that can draw away from the professionalism of the work they actually do.

I just found it a bit two faced, when she's used those very words herself and basically been everything she claims to despise.

I used to absolutely love her earlier blog till I heard how nasty and rude she was to people. Then you could see the fakeness coming right through.

Now she's peddling some life coaching crap alongside her MLM business and went to Vegas for a MLM funded business trip that allows her the flexibility to be at home with her babies, her reasons why. Except she missed their birthday to do this trip..

There's a local hypocritical home style mm blogger near me. So funny seeing through them when others worship her.

BouncyHedgehog · 16/07/2017 21:59

Cherry Menlove! Grin There was a thread on here a while back with someone asking for Bond-girl names; that would've been perfect...

randomuntrainedcuntowner · 16/07/2017 22:07

Apparently she gets "disproportionately happy" watching ponies or something.

That was my face. It just fell off.

MargoChanning · 16/07/2017 22:08

Ahh okay Britt, fair enough.
