To take a sick bucket in a taxi?

I'm about to call 111 as I suspect I have a partial bowel obstruction. I don't have anyone to take me to OOH or A&E so if they recommend that I'll have to take a taxi. Unfortunately one of my symptoms is nausea and I've vomited a couple of times. I think I'm completely empty now, but I'll take a bucket just in case. Do you think that's OK? Should I warn them in advance?!

I'd take a bag, something a bit more discrete thank bucket/bowl and not mention it. You need to get there, you think you're not going to be sick and if you are you can contain it. Don't risk them refusing to take you.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks. That's a much better idea Blush it'll save me lugging a bucket round too!

On hold with 111 now :)

I didn't throw up in the taxi. Phew. I decided to walk home afterwards though as didn't want to risk it.

The doctor doesn't think it's an obstruction so I just need to rest up and hopefully it'll sort itself out.

Thank you for your advice Cheby Flowers
