This is a bit random, but I'm posting for traffic if that's okay
I was at a networking event a couple of months ago, and got chatting at the event to someone who mentioned that they might have some freelance work opportunities coming up soon.
They've also given me lots of suggestions about how I could progress in my career more generally (I'm looking for different opportunities after being in my current job for quite a few years now).
We ended up going for coffee a couple of weeks ago, so I just wanted to send them a quick thank-you email, as they've been really helpful. I know I'm leaving it a bit late though
AIBU to ask you how I should write the email please? I want to thank them for all of their help, but just feeling a bit stuck on what to write
Thanks so much :)
So far, what I've got is a bit rubbish, as I'm trying to keep it fairly general and not outing, so it sounds really clumsy (and maybe a bit cold?)

Dear X,
Thanks very much for taking the time to meet with me last week.
I really appreciate all of your help and advice, as well as your suggestions regarding the next steps in my career that we discussed last week.
Thanks again and best wishes,
Parisian.
