To be annoyed about this missed deadline

I ordered some documents from a company. They're quite time sensitive and I wanted to get them before the end of the working week so I could print them off and then review over the weekend (I don't have a printer at home).

Last week the company said they'd send out the documents by early to mid this week but please don't chase until the end of Thursday. End of Thursday comes and goes so I email them Friday morning asking where the documents are because I want them before the end of the work day to print out.

They eventually send the documents very late Friday night along with an excuse saying they had sent them earlier in the week but there must have been an error in delivery (I'm not 100% sure I believe them but there we go). They also said I should have chased earlier if I'd wanted them before the weekend.

What really irritated me was their insistence that I was unusual for not having facilities to print the documents at the weekend and the fact that they kept saying (in the original email and following my reply to them) that they didn't think it was necessary for me to print the documents anyway.

Sorry that this is incredibly boring but AIBU to be annoyed with them? Irritatingly these documents were a one time purchase so it's not like I can threaten to withdraw my custom - I've already spent loads of money with them!

Wow. What a kerfuffle over nothing.

I doubt you are being unreasonable but I'd move on if I were you.

I'm probably putting too much importance on it because I have a deadline coming up which is stressing me out.

I agree, I tend to get a bit pissy when deadlines are looming too.
If anything, they've just gone to lengths to do some arse covering wrt telling you not to chase up then wondering why you didn't chase up etc. It is infuriating when you think about it. But such is life sometimes.

I hope it all goes well for you! Wine

Or maybe Brew, it's a bit early for wine!

On a practical note our local library allows printing I think its 5p a sheet

Sounds a weird set up. Surely you pay and instantly download them
