Bad cramping WWYD

Please help, oh the all-knowing mumsnetters! Googling didn't help and I don't really know what to do! About a month ago DH and I had an accident with condom breaking. I had a period literally 2-3 days after that and being paranoid did 4 preg tests, all came negative.
As of yesterday I started feeling sick, very tired, thumping headache. Now I have terrible cramping to the point I can't sit normally but no blood.
I don't know what to think! I had miscarriages before and this feels just like one but I can't ignore 4 negative tests!
WWYD? get an appointment with gp (obviously won't happen this week), just wait and see or book a taxi (I don't drive and have a little DC with me) and go to waste everybody's time at urgent care?
Sorry for a long one and thanks in advance!

Honestly? I would take some pills for the pain - paracetamol is safe even in pregnancy - get a hot water bottle and lie on the sofa while dc watch cbeebies, or run a warm bath and get into it with the dc. I would also ring dh and get him to come home sooner rather than later, if possible.

I don't think you need medical care, do you?

Agree, don't think it warrants seeing a doctor hence posting here and not wasting precious nhs resources Smile thnx for advice

I know what it's like when you are on your own. Uncertainty sets in. Take care, and I hope things settle down soon. It couldn't just be a stomach bug, could it?

BlueberryButtons · 14/07/2017 17:31

To be honest it feels as if my uterus is being pulled out with forceps, esp when I am sitting, so I am more on the side of cystitis or that sort of thing. I've taken paracetamol, hopefully that'll work . Thank you again!

Poor you, sounds very painful and uncertain. Do you have any more preg tests to hand? You could do one just to set your mind at rest. Try some stretches for cramps and ibuprofen. If it doesn't get any better by morning call nhs direct (or whatever it's called now) who will be able to advise. If you feel something is wrong though, don't worry about "wasting nhs time" as sometimes you need a professional just to check that it's not. I have been in a similar situation before - I was right to check, it possibly saved my life, but that doesn't mean you're not fine. Hope you feel better soon

Oh well, if you are thinking cystitis, my advice would be the complete opposite! Get yourself medical attention for that immediately. I am an old hand with cystitis and it never gets better without ABs (well, mine doesn't) and can become very serious really quickly.

Temperature? Is pain moving to lower right abdomen? If the pain is severe to take your breath away I'd call 111 - appendicitis, bowel obstruction, pancreatitis can present like this as can very non- serious things like constipation and period pain. Keep and eye and don't dismiss it.

InThisTogether · 14/07/2017 19:12

If you are worried I'd phone 111. I've always found them to give great and appropriate advice in the past.
Good luck OP.

BlueberryButtons · 14/07/2017 19:54

Thank you all very much for your advice! Paracetamol seems to have dulled the pain, no fever thankfully, so I'll keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, will call 111
