AIBU?

Fuck them all. Insulting on so many levels. And the sheer arrogance of arguing with someone, and then taking it upon yourself to speak for them. Reverses are always blindingly obvious because the OP’s bias sticks out a mile. I can imagine what some people I've disagreed with imagine my viewpoint to be and 99% of the time they're dead, dead wrong.
If you post a reverse, I’m automatically assuming you’re in the wrong. Because even you don’t think you can convince us by just being honest.

And sometimes I wonder if they are actually reverses, or they post, someone shouts reverse, and they say yes rather than admit to being self-centred princesses
I guess that must happen too. But reverses are usually so obvious. Even people who do act badly don't rationalise it the way their opponents think they do.
If you have had an argument with someone and want to post a reverse, may I make a request. Instead, ask them to post the reverse, telling us all the situation from what they imagine your viewpoint to be. Don't want them to do that? Why not?

They are irritating. Have I missed one very recently then? There was an obvious one recently by a young girl, but to be honest I felt so sorry for her that I could forgive that one. Most people should know better though, the whole thread just descends into 'I hate reverses' and the issue is never really properly addressed.

Well we don't really know what the issue IS, that's the problem. All we know is what one aggrieved person thinks their opponent's viewpoint is. Which they rarely do. If you have a fight with someone, do you want them to be responsible for telling your side of the story?
Just about the only times it's acceptable is if OP is very young and therefore entitled to be an idiot, or someone who has been abused and doubts their own account. 99% of the time it is worse than useless and even more annoying than when someone attempts to stir up a bajillion anonymous internet users into a Two Minutes Hate because they "need to vent".
