For my gas & electric?

Im with British gas, i have duel fuel with them, and combined i pay £130 pm, £88 of which is gas, if its relevant, there are 3 of us, me, dh & dd living in a terrace house

It seems an awful lot for just 3 of us, am wondering if i should go onto a comparison website and switch suppliers?

You won't know if your with the wrong company unless you do go and compare others. 3in our house and we spend around £90 per month on gas and electric at the moment. But that's after a cold winter when I was home everyday with a baby, so I'm hoping it will reduce after our next review. For what it's worth I tend to switch companies every 1-2 years.

That's a lot for gas. I'm in a 4 bed end house and don't pay that for gas. What kind of boiler do you have and where's the dial at?

I have no idea what kind of boiler i have, the dials are on the boiler, there are two dials, one for hot water & one for heating, so i guess a combi boiler?

I pay £42 per month combined and that's with me "over paying " in the summer with the gas to be in credit for the winter. We are 1 adult and 2 children. I'm the summer my gas bill is about £4 a month because there is no heating on!

I was with British gas but found them vastly overpriced.

Go on Uswitch and compare prices etc. It helps if you know your usage for 12 months etc so you can compare better.

No matter which company you're with, if you stay with them and don't even change package for more than a couple of years, you're almost certainly wasting money. Get onto a comparison site sharpish.

Just been on compare the market & i got a quote from one company which will save me £24, so i guess thats the one to go with, there were a couple of others that would save me £26/£28 pm, but ive never heard of these companies lol

Out of curiosity I went on the suppliers own website for a quote & that quote wont save me any money at all! Is it normal for it to be cheaper going via a comparison website?
