To buy him a second hand watch

My husband would love a running watch but he hasn't been able to afford the one he wants just yet it's £300. It's his birthday in two weeks and someone I know is selling the one he wants for £200. It was used but it's in very good condition although the packaging is a little damaged the watch is still in warranty. WIBU to buy it for him. £200 is also a push for me as I'm on maternity and DH is paying for everything so I can take unpaid leave too. WIBU to buy it for him or should I stick to something else and let him save up for a brand new one down the line?

Go for it it's still the watch he wants within your budget.Secondhand is not a problem if in good condition.

Depends on if he's funny about second hand? If he just wants the watch itself & not the fancy packaging / thrill of buying, then snap it up.

I would ask him first.
I wouldn't mind a secondhand watch but my Dh wouldn't have anything second hand he is a weirdo

Goodness - that's a first world problem isn't it?
