Well, Parentsevenign in es school the other day, and I had my lil ones with me, too...as you do...on our way back, as usual, they were faffing about, playing ont eh playground, as I was getitng my youngest, after finally getting my ms to listen and stand by the Buggy, one of the Kids was spitting (that Kid was about 8 i would say) and nearly got me...I glared at him (as you do) and he told me " Well, I didn't mean it" (in a right attitude). I just said, ina level voice "oh, that makes it o.k. then, does it????" and fetched my 2 1/2y old and went on my way!
We got to the schoolgates, and my 4 year old was ahead of me, and my 2 1/2 year old behind, so, told my ms to stop and wait, which he did and my lil one to get a move on...meanwhile this older boy had walked down to near me, but on the other side of the gates/fence and said to me "OH, shut up"...I said" YOu what?" He again..."shut up" and all I said muttered was" well, glad you are not my Kid with an attitude like that"....now, I know I really should have dragged the lil blighter into school and find his aprents and tell them, and am sooo annoyed with myself for NOT doing just that...! But, at the time I really couldn't face dragging my kids back into school, etc...sigh!
That lil shit has so gotten away with it, sigh...why couldn't somehting like that happen whilest I haven't got the lil ones with me.
I hate snotty Kids like that

I remember when my friends 11 yr old brother told me to f**k off. It was quite funny though and I probably deserved it. My friend wasnt so amused though.
They're just kids, forget it.

Thing is, I would want to know if my Kids are rude to someone...not just an adult really...it's disrespectful...and I m,ust admit, when I was a Kid I would actually never have dared to behave like that (and am hoping that my Kids all will know better, too)

Thing is, if you had dragged him back into school, he'd have screamed assault. What would that have achieved?

powder28 · 24/03/2007 08:54

Maybe this child is not a happy boy. He may have problems that nobody is aware of. You did the right thing though, you dont want his parents on your back.

I suppose you are right, he would have probably said I assaulted him....and yeah, i suppose I would end up arguing with a lot of people, lol, as most Kids in this area seem to have nonexistent manners...sigh!
