Tommee tippee lids - am I doing it wrong???

Is there a knack to putting on tommee tippee sippy cup lids without half of the drink squirting out???

Don't overfill. Also when you take them off it's easier with the spout open

Face it away from you. And don't over fill.

It's only 2/3 ful but loads still seems to come out? Got to be a design fault surely?!

Someone on here described this as "always getting the money shot" It is impossible to put the lid on without the contents ejaculating everywhere.

You're right, just do it over the sink with spout facing away from you.
lost count of the times I have squirted myself in the eye for not heeding this advice

Close the tip halfway. That usually let's enough air out to stop the squirting!

And not what you asked but do you know to lift the spout before you take the lid off? It breaks the vacuum a bit.

I struggledto remove the lids with the spout open. Im sure my dishwasher made them worse
