Found a facebook group called goodbye EU.
They posted this and almost everyone believed in without questioning.
A quick check on Hansard could show there was no such vote.

Correct. Why , we ask , has this anything to do with brexit ? ( apart from the feeling that corbyn was on the side of leave)

I think that the last couple of years, but this one in particular, the state of politics and politicians themselves have a lot to answer for and have been VU in general. It saddens me though as I think that we as society and what we have accepted through media is where we have found ourselves today. I wish instead of sniping governments which are polar opposites or governments which are similar in policies we would just have a hung cerntralist government with all sides participating.

The group is supposed to be pro Brexit. But it it should be renamed the Jeremy Corbyn hate society.
Clearly set up by people supporting the right of the house.

They seen to forget that not all Brexiters are Right Wing and Remain Left Wing.
I am left wing and voted Remain but a sibling who is even more left than me voted Leave.
Also many Conservatives voted remain.

To clarify. I think the Goodbye EU site showcases some leavers who are stupid. I do not think all leavers are stupid. I agree the meme in the OP is not to do with Brexit.

I agree that not all leavers are right wing and not all remainers are left wing. That was the part I was saying seemed like a straight forward comment to understand.

The FB page is a Brexit one.

Those who are saying that the meme has absolutely nothing to do with Brexit - well, quite! That's partly the point!

A lying meme, with nothing to do with the FB subject, and the weird assumption that Brexiters are rightwing - yes, it does point towards those Brexiters being ignorant, doesn't it?

I have other opinions which are different to some people.
I'm not stupid enough to think that everyone with a different opinion is stupid (HTH)

It's annoying when people make shite like this up and plaster it over the internet to further their cause. They aren't stupid for doing so - just have no integrity. The people that believe everything they read on the internet? I probably still wouldn't call them stupid. Maybe naive though. I think most of us have been this naive at some point.

I voted remain but I don't think that people who voted Brexit are stupid. Some of them may have been misinformed perhaps but others had their reasons for voting the way they did.
And I understood what Fabish was saying further up thread.

OK I was clearly tired when I posted this. Also I know not all Brexiters are stupid. Hell my sister voted Leave and she used to be a English teacher. Maybe she needs to give me lessons.
However, just look on the posts on that site if you want to see stupid responses.
