Delivering range cooker up stairs
Curious2468 · 08/07/2017 12:53
We are wanting to replace our old range cooker for a new one but need the delivery guys to bring it down an alleyway (wide) and through the garden (up and down a handful of steps). That would take it to the back door which is off the kitchen where it needs to go. Anyone know of it can be done? Any recommendations for companies who will deliver with guys able to move it up and down steps? I don't mind paying extra for delivery for the extra manpower but need to order from somewhere who won't say an outright no just because of the steps. ao won't deliver to anything with steps. Posting for traffic mostly.

Stairs are not a problem for John Lewis according to their website

I live up several flights of stairs. Do I need to tell you?
This shouldn’t be an issue, but if you suspect our delivery team may struggle to deliver to your address, call us to discuss any concerns on 0345 604 9049 as soon as possible after placing your order.

Have you tried Appliances Online - //www.ao.com ? They delivered a washing machine and tumble drier to my DD (who has 9 steep steps up to her front door) with no problem - and no extra charge. You just have to make sure that you inform them when ordering - there's a special section on the order page - and they take care of everything
