AIBU to think I'm cursed (lightheartedish)

This has been the week from hell. I have been decorating my daughters bedroom, never easy as she is chronically ill and struggles with change.

We had a total catalogue of problems. The paint, specially ordered premium price paint, came in 2 cans that were 2 different colours. This necissited an emergency trip to the local paintbshop to get dulux paint to repaint the walls I had already painted.

A new tv needed to be attached to the wall. The original wall bracket, heavily researched online, proved to be totally, expensively, useless and a replacement ordered. Putting the wall bracket up caused endless fun as the wall just wouldn't hold it....the bracket that is we didn't get as far as the tv.

There have been other problems but I am on here now at stupid 0'clock in the morning because my cat decided to catch a mouse....good.....but then not kill it but play with it in my bedroom! At one stage she hid it in my slipper....thinking it was an ex rodent I picked up the slipper to put in the bin and the mouse ran out. There is currently no sound so I am sat in bed with no idea if my cat has got bored and eaten the mouse or just let it run away and hide.

So anyway my question is, am I cursed because even for me this is a particularly crap week. If I am cursed how long will it last? Is there anyway to break the curse? And also, what's the best way to get rid of rodents if you have a cat?

Ok I am cursed as my thread has vanished without a trace. Still no sign of the mouse and the cat is sleeping peacefully so I'm guessing the mouse is dead or, hopefully escaped never to return.

On a better note accepting that sleep was impossible I finished sorting my daughter's bedroom. Now just hoping the curse doesn't continue as I move onto decorating the living room.
