Parents neighbours making their lives hell

Posting in AIBU for traffic really. Honestly don't know what to do for the best.
My parents neighbours are arse holes. They are making their lives miserable. I'd really love to storm round and tell them what I think of their shirty antics but quite honestly, that'll make things worse.
They'll tell my parents they need work doing on their house because it's affecting them ie new roof or trees need cutting. If and when my parents deem these jobs necessary, the neighbours complain to the builder/gardener. Last time, the gardener chopped a bush & he apparently put a hole in their shed roof. Utter nonsense but the neighbour had a set to with the gardener and then after he'd left, came for round 2 with my dad.
They've called the police on me for parking legally outside my parents, claiming my car was abandoned. They know my car and it had been there 30mins only!
They feed the vermin wildlife meaning birds shit on my parents clean washing and foxes stalk the garden while my kids play out.
They're at their wits end, I want to do something to help but confrontation or all out war would send my mum under. She's has been nothing but nice to these bloody weirdos too.
So WIBU to tell them to back the fuck off or is there a better option?

Report them for anti social behaviour?

If tenants report to landlord?

Go round and tell them firmly to stay away from your parents. If you are firm enough , it WONT make matters worse as they wont want you back at their door

The police don't seem to have much going on round there if they can visit in 30 minutes over a parking issue

Sadly police have plenty to do, they're the sort that call for something and nothing regularly.
They aren't tenants, either household and honestly I could be very stern but they are very sly, it would get their backs up and they'd up the ante. I've seen it all before when my parents have confronted them in the past.
I'm at a loss I really am and I'm so sad for parents.

I mean yeah they sound like wankers but you can't really be pissed off at people for feeding birds

Shewhomustgowithoutname · 07/07/2017 18:10

Could you or other family be around next time a workman is employed. What about cctv cameras? I think making the neighbour aware that you know what is going on and are on to it would maybe make them think again. Make it clear that picking on pensioners or older people is not acceptable.

Funny you should say that, they're having something done next week. I really want to be there. DF will warn the workers but what a shitty way to live.
I'm dying to catch him at it so I can say something. Neighbour is well aware they know, they like to then repeat their encounters to DPs.
As for the bird feeding. I know you can't really be pissed with that, I feed birds, it's lovely but I'd stop if flocks of pigeons were nesting on my roof. It's weird.

I see Pidgeons as Urban Wildlife. As for Foxes, we need to stop building on their territory and ensure the natural food supply is looked after.

They make different choices as you, that doesn't make them weird. It makes you judgemental and opinionated.

Allyou've got to do is tell them to put a note through the door if they think anything needs doing and you wll deal with it.

That's if your Parents are happy with that and it really bothers them, rather than them just having a moan.

What will your DF warn their Workers about?

dollydaydream114 · 09/07/2017 19:20

Can see why the other things bother you but most kids would be quite excited to see a fox in the garden. If you're scared to let your kids play out somewhere they might see a fox then you might be a wee bit uptight.
