If you live in Devon and you marry a convicted paedophile who you want to "Sleep with" Devon LA said you can lock your children in every single night as long as they have a monitor so mum can be alerted when the child want a toilet break, and Devon police force do not arrest you or prosecute you but in Walsall if you lock your child in their bedroom just twice to protect them from harm have a night light and right next to moms room so can knock the wall or call, you are arrested held in a cell for just under 12 hours and then prosecuted in the crown court. So it depends on where you live as to what the law is.

Devon is very clearly wrong.

Prosecution is absolutely right for putting children in harm's way with a molester in the house. A mother who lets a known paedophile in the house with her children should be removed from their lives.

Are you actually saying you believe this to be a bad thing?

LellyMcKelly · 04/07/2017 22:29

Nobody should be locking children in rooms full stop! And what the hell is Devon thinking?!

PacificDogwod · 04/07/2017 22:31

What is your stake in this?

Do you actually believe that all the facts are in the public domain?

Not sure if it's just this 'law' you are referring to. (Doesn't sound like Law in statute.
Scottish Law and English Law are different in many ways, as is their court systems for adults and children.

As far as I am aware, the law is the same across England (excluding certain bye laws) but not Britain. For example, some laws in Scotland are different from those in England and Wales.

How the law is applied can differ from case to case, though. As it appears to have been in whatever it is you're outraged about.
