To decline this Interview?

I'm meant to be having an tomorrow but still haven't been given a time! I went into the recruitment agency nearly two weeks ago and they said the place recruiting wanted someone pretty soon, which was great for me. I told her my availability for interviews last week, and said Wednesday was best. Wednesday came and I finally got a phone call in the afternoon asking if they could see me tomorrow.

Woman at the agency said she'd be in touch with a time, still not heard anything and my DH has changed his day off so he can watch the kids tomorrow. WIBU to decline the interview If (or when!!) They get back to me with a time? Just seems so unorganised and really annoyed me.

If you've got everything arranged, I'd still go. No use cutting off your nose to spite your face.

It may be the company concerned that's not got back to you - it might be the agency. Either way - go! The worst that happens is that you waste a couple of hours.

Good luck!

Is it the agency rather the job which is disorganised?

If it's the agency and you've got childcare covered and the job sounds okay, I'd probably go, and make sure they were better than presented by the agency, then be clear to the agency you need more notice in future. But I'd be making efforts to get other agencies knowing about me.

If it's that employer who's disorganised, not the agency, I'd say no, saying you needed more notice.

Thanks all, from what I gather it's the actual employer that's disorganised. When I spoke to the recruitment agency last week she apologised profusely saying sorry it's taken this long for them to get back to her. I've emailed and rang the recruitment agency today but no answer, so maybe they're unorganized too!

Just managed to get hold of the woman at the recruitment agency, she said she's emailed 3 different people at the company today and the only reply she got was 'yeah we still want to interview Tuesday or Wednesday' and I said I definitely can't do Wednesday because my DH swapped his shift, seeing as I was told Tuesday last week! But they've still not confirmed either way. She said she's gonna try chasing them again. So annoyed!

God they sound a pain in the arse. It is a red flag, but I would still go to the interview to scope out whether there are more flags or if this could be unusual for them...
