Quick one. I've just dropped my dog off with my friend who kindly offered to have her while we are in Florida for a fortnight.

She said she didn't want any money but it's a huge favour so I put £200 in a thank you card, inside a gift bag that contained wine and chocolates.

My friend has since sent me a few messages but hasn't mentioned it. I certainly don't want a thank you or anything but I'm fretting that she hasn't seen the card and it gets thrown out?

BUT does it look like in fishing for a thank you if I mention it?

I'd say something like - hope she's good for you etc etc, hope you weren't offended by the money but you really are doing us a massive favour and I wanted you to treat yourself !
