To only give one weeks notice

The place I work is chaotic to say the least. I have now been there for 8 months so technically past my probation period but ive never been told this officially. Never has any one discussed my probation period, wether I have passed it, wether there is anything I need to work on etc.

Would I therefore BU to only give one weeks notice instead of the contractual 4 weeks that you must give one you pass probation?

If you haven't got anything in writing then I can't see why not

You should be entitled to holidays. Tell them to use that as your notice period if they kick up a fuss.
