I used a window cleaning service in the past I wasn't happy with so asked them politely not to come again. Got text yesterday to say please leave access open for window cleaner. I replied to say please don't clean our windows. Got reply 'ok'. Unhappy to return home today to find bill through door for windows. Phoned up and politely explained what happened. Man was very aggressive and accused me of messing them around. I felt intimidated but stood my ground. He called back to say they had no text and that a decent thing to do would be to pay half (I'm summarising). I agreed as I felt pressured and vulnerable. I also- more importantly- don't want anyone's wages docked. Have I behaved badly to only pay half? Feel pathetically upset.

As they replied to the text, they obviously did get it. I wouldn't be paying anything.
How did they get in anyway?

No, you've been a lot more generous than most people would have given you told them not to, and the man's aggressive tone.

Can you do something nice and relaxing to take your mind off it? Not fair for you to be so upset when you've done nothing wrong Flowers

You've been incredibly generous to pay for a service you stated you didn't want.

Thank you for your kind responses. Seeline they just did the front windows but charged me the same (money I can ill afford to lose).

Don't pay! Screenshot the original request not to have them clean again and the reply (OK) and text it to them as proof. They are taking advantage of your vulnerability and unwillingness to stand up for yourself. I wonder how many other similar people they have targeted?

I got a bill through the door for a window cleaner, I phoned and asked why they had cleaned my windows, turns out they thought I was next door. Duh.

This is not your fault, op, you should not pay for their fuck up.

Don't happen to have strong northern accents and a red van do they?

Anyhoo, when I experiences similar I just put a note on front window saying "Do not clean no payment will be made"
