DH never realised the Ninky Nonk was a train until I told him. He thought it was some kind of mischievous self-aware gadget that runs around the night garden scaring people.

Something to do with Derek Jacobi's slightly panicked tone when he says "Oh No! It's the Ninky Nonk!" Now I think he may be onto something. It doesn't have a driver because it's possessed by a malevolent spirit...

I am so glad it isnt just me! And i agree with the scale issue... macca pakka was on his trike thingy and was triple the size of the train... the he magically fitted through the door. I find it all oddly disturbing. And the fact I am intrigued if it will be the ninky nonk or pinky ponk each episode. Although the pinky ponk is the clear unfavourite by the creators. Dp thought it was iggle piggle.. until i pointed out HE WAS ON THE NINKY NONK! ---- Who drives i must know!!
