Has anyone eaten some recently? Have they secretly changed the recipe? Haven't eaten them for about 6 months and now they are shit, the cake is different and I don't know why.
Am I imagining this? If I'm not can McVities do this without telling us?? I've eaten three packs just to be sure been trying to figure it out for 3 days now.

Haven't had one in ages, I buy the Aldi ones they're much nicer Smile

StumpyScot92 · 26/06/2017 14:49

Try tango ones. They're a new favourite and I don't like tango!

PeppaPigObsession · 26/06/2017 14:54

Definitely changed them, they're no where near as nice as they used to be!

Justbreathing · 26/06/2017 15:26

perverts food! Wink

SofaToad · 26/06/2017 15:29

Palm oil. Makes most things taste unpleasant. I was going to get some a while back, and then I read the ingredients list and put them back.

londonrach · 26/06/2017 15:31

They dryer. The cheap ones in the supermarkets are better than the original.

krazipan · 26/06/2017 15:34

I got some the other week and they were so dry! Thought I just had a duff box....

Yogagirl123 · 26/06/2017 15:37

I would like to get the chance OP, brought a couple of boxes recently, no soon as they get in the cupboard, they mysteriously disappear by my teenage sons no doubt, if I ever manage to get one I will let you know! But I can only assume at the rate they are eating them, they are still scrummy!

KungFuPandaWorksOut16 · 26/06/2017 15:52

Yep, changed the ingredients.
Only like Lucozade I thought I was unlucky and had bought a multi pack that was flat.

Davros · 26/06/2017 16:03

M&S ones are the best Biscuit

EdmundCleverClogs · 26/06/2017 16:26

I like the Asda smart price ones Blush. I remember once trying to buy them and the woman on the till trying to insisting I swap them for the 'nice ones'. I like the dry base the SP ones have!

blackcherries · 26/06/2017 16:27

Yes! I noticed this too. They're all dry and dusty.

Ankleswingers · 26/06/2017 16:28

Jaffa cakes are the best Grin

I can easily demolish an entire pack in one sitting.

Full moon... half moon... total eclipse GrinGrin

Ginkypig · 26/06/2017 16:31

Ditch the shitty mcvities and get the lidl ones, they are LOVELY you also get 2 packs in the box so more for less money Grin

ShotsFired · 26/06/2017 16:36

Yeah I agree with pp - basics/value ranges are tons better than McVities. I should probable test this out myself in fact....

Pickleypickles · 26/06/2017 17:20

I'm so glad I'm not going mad Smile
