To ask if you think we change the world?

I was feeling a bit down on myself - feeling really unimportant, like I'm not really leaving my mark on the world.

A friend said we change the world constantly - each of our actions (good or bad) sends out a small ripple, which might trigger or join other ripples, and accumulate into something bigger over time.

I tried to think of a few examples of how I might have 'rippled' lately and come up with:

  • Voted in the election
  • Volunteered at Parkrun
  • Posted advice/support on a few Mumsnet threads!

What are your thoughts? Have you been 'rippling' lately? Grin

We all ripple. You never know the impact you have- it could be that a little thing in your actions towards someone else influences a big decision for them, for better or for worse.

I don’t think we do that all the time
But we don't know the time we might make a difference. So do what you can and hope for the best. Sorry you're at a low ebb. Flowers it's simplidtic but keep writing down positive things you do or experience then reger back when everything seems bleak.
