Just told a school mum (while admiring new baby) that I didn't realise she was pregnant and she couldn't have put much weight on.

She's thinking I thought she was fat anyway isn't she Blush.

This is why I try not to talk to people outside my trusted circle much as I waste time ruminating that I've said something wrong afterwards.

Bollocks!

Even if there is a baby hanging out of a woman you shouldn't ask if she's pregnant! Or make a comment along the lines

I think we've all got some cringey humdingers lurking somewhere. I try and forget about mine.

ProudMum she has had the baby. I would never ask anyone if they are pregnant, have been asked enough times myself when I wasn't so know how it feels -4 pregnancies including quite big twins so I look 6 months gone on a good day-!

That's not a bad comment OP! You were saying you didn't realise she was pregnant - she won't take that as you think she's fat anyway, trust me!
