Weight loss & water retention

Hello everyone! :)

Long story short, am 8 kgs overweight. I've recently seen a dietician for personalised diet & doing 3 intens trainings a week. However, on her analysis it resulted that from 8 kgs 6 is water!!!!!! I'm shocked

Can anyone tell me if there is severely grave? Am I going to be able to get rid of that? If so, how? Confused

How do you know when its water?
I ask because I have just done 2 weeks on NO carbs and 3 x weights/cardio per week and lost nothing :(

How did she quantify this?

It is possible to get a measure of body fat % but water seems rather far fetched.

That said, when people start diets, a lot of the initial weight that 'falls off' i.e. you see a lower number on the scales is water weight, but I can't see how someone could calculate it so specifically.
